How to read the card

Find the highest-ranked pattern your dealt hand matches, and hold it. Rows are ranked by expected value (EV) per coin bet, computed exactly for the pay table shown at the top. If your hand matches more than one pattern, the higher-ranked row wins.

What's not on the card

This condensed format covers 22 representative patterns that account for the large majority of real decisions, the same set used by the strategy maker. A few narrow exceptions (bonus-quad kicker holding in Double Double Bonus and Triple Double Bonus, extremely close boundary hands) aren't on the card; check the hand analyzer for anything unusual, or the game's full strategy page for the complete explanation. Deuces Wild and Joker Poker use a different strategy structure entirely and aren't covered by this card format yet; see their own strategy pages.
